The FAIR EU (Fostering Awareness, Inclusion and Recognition of EU Citizens) project aims to promote the successful integration of EU citizens into the civic and political life of their host countries through a holistic approach to the obstacles they face in exercising their rights.

Activities include research on obstacles to free movement and political rights, evidence-based recommendations for local election campaigns in Belgium in 2018 and an EU-wide campaign targeting local, national and EU level authorities and stakeholders ahead of the 2019 European elections. A citizen-centric outreach component, based on ICT, will gather citizens' input on problems and possible solutions, and a digital awareness campaign will be conducted.
